Marine Salvage & Commercial Diving Operations.
THALASSA HOLDINGS Teams provided Marine & Commercial Diving Services, to one of the most active Emergency Response Companies in Worldwide Marine Casualties, including Marine Salvage, Towage & Wreck Removal Operations, always protecting the Marine Environment from Pollution, as well as the Property & Life at Sea. It was a quite difficult Marine Salvage Operation at open sea. A 65000t DWT laden Bulk Carrier suffered a crack in the tail shaft & lost her propeller, due to rough seas, while crossing the Atlantic Ocean. Salvage Tugs were mobilized from Spain, having onboard the required salvage personnel & equipment. The on-site repairs included the installation of steel box with rubber flange, in order to plug the stern tube and avoid the water ingress to E/R, while the vessel will be sailing to Greece for cargo unloading & further repairs.
