THALASSA HOLDINGS provided Marine Salvage and Commercial Diving Services to one of the most active Emergency Response Companies specializing in global marine casualties, including Salvage, Towage, Wreck Removal, and Oil Spill Response. All operations were conducted with a strong commitment to protecting the marine environment, property, and life at sea.
The scope of work involved the wreck removal of a motor yacht that sank after grounding in shallow waters.
DSV “Ocean Titan” was mobilized from Piraeus Port, equipped with the necessary salvage personnel and emergency response equipment.
The salvage team successfully refloated and recovered the yacht using two 100t floating crane barges.
On-site operations included:
Fuel and oil removal
Dewatering and refloating
Lifting operations
Wet welding of 20 strong points for lifting gear
Seabed debris clearance
All works were completed to the satisfaction of the Client, Underwriter’s Representative, and Class Surveyor.
