MARINE & COMMERCIAL DIVING OPERATIONS in ships

THALASSA HOLDINGS provided Marine and Commercial Diving Services to a VLCC.

The scope of work included an in-water classification survey, hull cleaning, propeller polishing, and internal cleaning of the sea chest gratings. The vessel had been laid up for approximately two years and was entirely covered with hard marine fouling, including goose barnacles and mussels, up to 40 cm thick.

All operations were completed to the satisfaction of the Client, Underwriter’s Representative, and Class Surveyor.
