THALASSA HOLDINGS provided Marine Salvage and Commercial Diving services to one of the most active Emergency Response Companies involved in global marine casualties, including salvage, towage, and wreck removal operations. All actions were carried out with strict adherence to marine environmental protection protocols, prioritizing both property and life at sea.
A 30-meter motor yacht sustained significant hull damage and water ingress after grounding in shallow waters. The DSV Ocean Titan was mobilized from the Port of Piraeus, carrying the necessary salvage personnel and emergency response equipment.
The salvage team successfully refloated and removed the vessel from the reef following underwater patching and dewatering procedures.
On-site operations and repairs included:
Survey of the affected bottom areas (grounded spots)
Sealing of openings using wooden wedges and epoxy putty
Crack arresting through precision drilling
All works were completed to the satisfaction of the client, the underwriter’s representative, and the class surveyor.
